Hello kindergartener! My name is Mr. Bernaert! I am so excited to be your kindergarten teacher! This year we are going to have so much fun making memories together, involving your family in your learning, and building a passion for learning!

I moved to Florida five years ago with my partner Jeramiah. He works for Manatee County Schools as well!  We love Florida and we both love being in education. I have taught kindergarten for 10 years now! I also taught first grade for two years.

In my free time I like to work on my landscaping, watch TV, paddleboard, go on walks, and organize. I love Mickey Mouse, Coffee, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, teaching kindergarten, and being outside. One of my favorite things to do is to go to the beach! I really enjoy doing anything outside.

Together, Jeramiah and I enjoy going to Disney World, exploring Florida, and going out to dinner. We like to try new restaurants around the area and explore places we have never been before. We do not have any family here in Florida so we go to visit our family in Indiana a lot. Our family lives on a farm with cows, chickens, goats, horses, and donkeys!
